The Osborne Hotel is a small family run hotel in the beautiful village of Innellan , situated directly on the banks of the Firth Of Clyde about three miles from Dunoon. All of our bedrooms are en-suite and are finished to a high standard to guarantee a comfortable and relaxing stay – including television and hospitality trays.

The hotel is open all year round and is best loved for the spectacular panoramic views of the Clyde Estuary from the well stocked conservatory bar and from most of the guest bedrooms.

The Osborne offers a wide and varied choice of menu including an exciting Chef’s Choice list offering fresh homemade specialities. Our meals come highly recommended by guests who return time and time again. The Hotel , being so close to the water and surrounded by hills , is also the perfect stop over point for those wishing to get out and experience fantastic scenery.

The Osborne is the only hotel in Innellan and is renowned throughout the region for the stunning views enjoyed from its conservatory lounge bar and restaraunt.The floral displays outside , awash with colour in the summer , attract visitors year after year from miles around.

There is a lovely sun terrace outside offering unrivalled views out to the islands of Cumbrae , Wee Cumbrae , Arran , Bute and the distant Ailsa Craig.

The Osborne Hotel also boasts a fine Dining / Function room. With its lovely chandeliers, pictures and piano this room is becoming an increasingly popular party / live music / wedding reception venue.

Nearby Attractions and Sites of Interest

We have three well maintained moorings situated just a few yards in front of the Hotel – within easy sailing distance from large sailing marinas on the other side of the Firth. There is also a slipway directly in front of us leading down to the small beach.

We have a good relationship with the Velvet Path Trekking And Riding Centre in Innellan. Riders of all abilities can stay at the Osborne and ride horses , fully supervised , in breathtaking scenery – just a stone throw away in the village. The Hotel can arrange riding for you.

This area is great for golfers too! Behind the Hotel and only a few minutes walk away is Innellan Golf Course. This nine hole golf course is set amongst some of the most picturesque scenery you could ever wish to see. There is also Cowal Golf Course ( 18 hole ) nearby which offers a stiff challenge. Scotland is ‘The Home Of Golf ’ and some of the west coast courses are world famous championship courses yet most of the fairways close to this hotel will take your breath away.

The Osborne Hotel is a great base for walkers and cyclists. The Argyll National Park starts just outside Dunoon and even walks and cycle rides from outside the Hotel will take in lovely views of Arran , the Cumbrae islands and Bute. The magnificent 120 acre Benmore Botanic Garden ( just 20 mins. drive away ) with its 300 species of rhododendron and avenue of Giant Redwoods is also a must see walk around attraction!

For those of you seeking speed and adventure – look no further !! We can book seats on The River Rocket www.riverrocket.co.uk (a 450hp twin engined power boat based just outside Dunoon ) which can thrill and speed you past the Hotel and out to the World Famous Kyles Of Bute. Bring your camera and look out for porpoise , seals and rare sea birds ! They are out there !

Apart from all this , The Osborne Hotel looks directly on to a busy shipping channel.There are always yachts , ships , cruise liners etc. passing by which adds interest. Short cruises take place daily here in the Summer months.

The famous Waverley paddle steamer ( the last sea going paddle steamer left in the world ) passes in front of the Hotel almost every day in the Summer season picking up passengers in Dunoon.

Whether it is rare sea birds , red squirrels , seals or even occasionally dolphins you want to see – they can all be seen in Innellan.

The Osborne Hotel is the ideal base for the famous Cowal Highland Gathering ( the largest highland games in the world ) which takes place at the end of every August just down the road in Dunoon. This event attracts tourists and the best pipe bands and dancers from across the globe. For those who love everything Scottish – nothing can match it for its kilt wearing and pipe playing !
